2. No Children

Kontext is only for people 13 years old and over. By using Kontext, you affirm that you are over 13. If we learn someone under 13 is using our Services, we will terminate their account.

3. Content Rights and Responsibilities

When publishing content (including comments) on this website, the following terms apply:

  • We may remove any content you post at our sole discretion.
  • You may delete any of your articles, diagrams, resources, comments, or your account at any time. We may retain backup copies of your deleted data in accordance with our Privacy Policy until the deletion process is complete.

  • By submitting content to Kontext, you grant us a nonexclusive license to use, publish, store, display, reformat, and distribute it on Kontext Services.

  • We will not sell your content to third parties without your explicit consent.

  • We may modify, suspend, or terminate any aspect of the Services at any time, without notice.
  • Crawling the Services is permitted only if done in accordance with our robots.txt file. Scraping the Services is strictly prohibited.

Content on this website can be access controlled:

  • Public: Accessible to all users, including anonymous users.
  • Private: Accessible to the owner and authorised users (e.g. Administrators, Contributors, Readers).

For member-only or administrator-only content, you may not disclose it to third parties without the written consent of the author, unless the content license or terms permit such disclosure.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

Kontext provides the Services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Your use of the Services is at your sole risk and discretion. 8. Limitation of Liability

Kontext shall not be liable to you for any damages arising from your use of the Services, including if the Services are hacked or unavailable. This limitation applies to all types of damages (indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary) and all legal theories (breach of contract, breach of warranty, tort, or otherwise).

9. No Waiver

If Kontext does not exercise a particular right under these Terms, that does not waive it.

10. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the court shall endeavor to give effect to the parties’ intentions as reflected in the invalid provision.

11. Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Victoria, Australia, without reference to its conflict of laws provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Victoria, Australia for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and branding on Kontext (excluding user-generated content) are the property of Kontext or its licensors. You may not use, copy, or distribute any part of the site or its content without our express written permission, except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kontext, its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Force Majeure

Kontext is not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet outages, or governmental actions.

15. Assignment

Kontext may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms to another entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.
