Can I confirm that you are using the following one:

$HIVE_HOME/bin/schematool.sh -dbType derby -initSchema-bash: HIVE_HOME/bin/schematool.sh: No such file or directory

instead of:

$ HIVE_HOME/bin/schematool.sh -dbType derby -initSchema-bash: HIVE_HOME/bin/schematool.sh: No such file or directory

There is a space in your error log.

After running, am getting the below text,

Again running with schematool, SAME ERROR
