Quick Start

  • Create a Kontext account. See User Registration.
  • During the pilot, an invitation code may be required. Request one via Contact.

Sign In & Find Your Projects

  • After signing in, go to Projects to see the projects you have access to.
  • Complete your profile and enable 2FA in Account Settings.

Upload Files

  • Open the project you want to work in, choose Files from the project side menu, then click + Add and select Upload Files.
  • Upload supported data files, then query them after profiling.
  • See Data Lake for supported file and catalog types.
  • See Knowledge Catalogs for indexed document formats used by search and RAG workflows.

Important: During the pilot, avoid uploading sensitive or non-public data — use the Demo Project or sample datasets for testing.

Connect External Catalogs Or Databases

  • Open your project and go to Catalogs to configure project-level data connections.
  • See Data Catalogs for supported providers and execution modes.

Configure LLM Providers

  • Open LLM Providers from the main app navigation to choose which language model providers your AI features can use.
  • Keep one provider as your default so new chats and AI tools have a ready-to-use runtime.
  • See LLM Providers for supported runtimes and curated model IDs.

Ask Questions or Generate Notebooks With Natural Language

  • Use data agents on the Project Home page to ask questions, request charts, or have an agent generate a notebook from a natural language prompt.
  • Use Team for execution and Plan for planning.
  • See Data Agent and AI Modes.
