Manage Subscriptions

Learn how to manage your newsletter and notification subscriptions on the Kontext Platform.

Kontext Platform offers two types of subscription groups: Newsletter and Project Notifications. Newsletters are used to inform subscribers updates about certain topics. Project Notifications are linked to each project to send project updates, for example, when a new article is published.

Subscription delivery is empowered by Kontext Serverless Job Framework.

Newsletter Subscription

The Kontext Platform offers a newsletter subscription service to keep you informed about:

  • Platform updates and new features
  • Public preview announcements
  • Important platform maintenance notifications
  • Community highlights and best practices

Subscribing to the Newsletter

You can subscribe to the newsletter in several ways:

During Registration

When creating a new account, you can opt-in to newsletter subscriptions by checking the “Subscribe to the Kontext newsletter for updates and announcements” checkbox during the registration process.

Project Notifications Subscription

Kontext platform also offers user the opportunity to receive automatic notifications about projects. For example, get notified when a new article is published in the project.

To subscribe to project notification groups, go to the homepage of the project. Click Subscribe to Updates button to subscribe.

Managing Your Subscriptions

Viewing Current Subscriptions

To view your current subscriptions:

  1. Log in to your Kontext Platform account
  2. Navigate to your account settings
  3. Look for the “Subscriptions” section
  4. Review your active subscriptions and preferences

Unsubscribing

If you need to unsubscribe from newsletters:

  1. Email Unsubscribe: Click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any newsletter email
  2. Subscriptions: Log in to your account and manage subscriptions through your Subscriptions. Click the Unsubscribe button. The following is a sample management screenshot for the page:

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Newsletters

If you’re not receiving newsletter emails:

  1. Check Spam Folder: Newsletter emails might be filtered as spam
  2. Check Subscription Status: Verify you’re subscribed through your account settings
  3. Contact Support: Reach out if issues persist

Privacy and Data Protection

We respect your privacy and follow best practices for email subscriptions:

  • Opt-in Only: We only send newsletters to users who explicitly subscribe
  • Easy Unsubscribe: One-click unsubscribe in every subscription email
  • Data Protection: Your email preferences are securely stored and protected
  • No Sharing: We never share your email or subscription data with third parties
